I received an "Items unavailable" error when I tried to checkout.
If you see this error during a new release launch:
"Some products became unavailable and your cart has been updated. We're sorry for the inconvenience."
It means inventory isn't updated until an order is fully paid. You can add items to your cart as long as they're in stock. Once you finalize payment, they're removed from available inventory.
During big releases, items are reserved for you for a few minutes at checkout to prevent them from being taken while you pay. However, they're still available to others until you complete the payment. They'll get the error code when they reach checkout.
Remember, the shopping cart is not the checkout page.
Avoid using the yellow PayPal or black Apple Pay buttons at the top of the checkout page. They take you away from our store and items aren't reserved. You can use these payment methods later in the checkout process.
